The next morning things were quiet, that is until the elf started to hear footsteps, but it didn't sound like the Owler, these were far too heavy. Soon the being in question came into view, it was a very tall gray being, it wore no clothes nor did it have a face. It had the body of a humanoid, but absolutely no features to speak of. Frankly, Glenn did not take this well. He wanted to scream and call out for help but two things stopped him, one... the bandage was still covering his mouth, and two... it hurt like Quirvin to move his jaw even a little. Slowly the gray creature approached, something unseen in his hands. Glenn just stared at it wide eyed and wonder what it wanted.

Slowly it stretched out it's hand towards the boy's head, who closed his eyes in return, it's all he really could do. But all he felt was the bandage over his mouth being lift off. Opening his eyes Glenn saw that the gray giant was carrying both fresh cloth and food. And so the golem did it's work, changing all of Glenn's bandages and feeding him.

About a week had past of this, and no owler in sight. The gray figure arrived once again, already starting it's morning routine. Slowly it start to unwrap the cloth around Glenn's mouth. It had been long enough that it no longer felt like a thousand needles every time he opened his mouth, it was down to more like a hundred. "You have incredible bedside manor you know that?" He said with a mock smile on his face, hoping to get any kind of reaction from his faceless caretaker. The being did not even acknowledge the comment as it prepared the gruel.

The next morning when Glenn awoke there was something new in the room, a small three level bookshelf filled to the brim with books. On top was a small note.

I can imagine your time here has been awfully boring
So here is a small sample of my collection so your brain doesn't rot
S.M.

Glenn felt an odd mix of both comfort and unease. This whole situation still felt off. He was starting to feel more like a prisoner then a guest, especially after the Owler said that line about repaying the debut.
Never the less, he decided to push these thoughts out of the way for the moment, for there was books to read! Back at the village  one of Glenn's few solaces were books, but they were not easy to get a hold of. Reading was never a high priority for the Underwood clan, so the young elf would have to do favors for the elders to borrow theirs, usually not fun ones either. But here next to him was probably more book then there was in the clan put together!  Smiling Glenn picked up the first one he saw. It was a campy adventure story about a party of adventures saving the world. Nothing new, but it beat what he had been doing the last week, then again most things beat nothing.

A couple days past And Glenn was devouring the books in record time. Some of them appeared to be spell books of all thing, but they were written in a language totally unfamiliar to the elf so he ignored them for the most part, just looking at their pictures and diagrams. Most of the other books were written in common.
He had just finished a history of dark elves, gently he put it back. His eyes were soon scanning the self for the next read. It wasn't long before an unfamiliar book caught his eye. It was hiding in the corner on the bottom shelf. With a lot of stretching he finally got it. It was a solid black book with nothing on the spine, cover, or back. Curious he opened it up and to his surprise found in completely written in elven, not conman. Casually he glanced at the title, “Necromancy”
As promised, MORE!

Sorry if the beginning is a bit boring, but all this important, I swear! Well, probably.

Please tell me what you do and don't like about the story so far, feedback is welcome!

Same as before, it will be edited later, so please ignore mistakes and awkwardly worded sentences.

NECROMANCY
That was a great way to end it, gave me chills! He has no idea what's in store for him the precious baby

And damn I can feel Max's personality through just those two lines. XD Nice.

And other than the occasional typo or awkwardness which I'm sure you'll correct later it was awesome! :>
